INF1NITY: 2020 TITC Recap
INFINITY RC ADDICT - BANGKOK
This years TITC took place as always at the world famous Infinity addict circuit in Bangkok Thailand. Best news for 2020 was our EP team was armed with our all new IF14-2 electric touring car and they were excited to show off all the new features and the extra performance they have found in different conditions.
There were some concerns from a few over the Corona virus but the competition was still fierce right throughout the field, and while it was Akio who dominated the rest of our team were never far behind and proved our new IF 14-2 was the car to beat during the weekend.
In the modified class it was a clean sweep of all 4 rounds for Akio with Jilles hot on his heals. Naoto, Yamamoto and Viktor would follow in the final qualifying order to make it an Infinity 1-5 and Jin close by lining up 7. While in the boosted stock class Trin took his fresh IF14-2 to 3rd on the grid against the some of the fastest stock drivers in Asia. Just missing out on the top 10 in modified Jesse, Andy and Chavit would line up nose to tail in the B main.
The modified triple A- main finals provided some exicting racing with Jilles taking the first main after a loose pinion caused Akio to drop down the order. A2 and A3 Akio got back "on track" taking the overall win with Jilles pushing him all the way. Naoto came out on top of the battle with Viktor for the last spot on the podium taking 3rd Overall. Viktor 4th Yamamoto 6th and Jin 8th.
The pro stock finals started with maybe one of the most exciting races of the week. After an accident in the first corner between the top 2 cars there was a complete change around in order and coming into the last lap Trin found himself in a super close 2 way fight which he would win by just 1/10 Sec. Following up the won with a 3rd Trin would take 2nd place overall. An overall fantastic start for our IF 14-2 in a World Championship year. We are looking forward to July!! See you there!!!
