It is not often you catch something “Bad to the Bone” at rest, but the promotional photos of the 1987 Buick Grand National is cooling in a very uncommon way. The American produced, sinister, wedged shaped vehicle is now released to the RC enthusiast to fit the latest Street Eliminator vehicles on the market. The crew in the JConcepts R&D department tackled one of its finest projects to date and together with Chevrolet licensing has produced some exciting muscle.

The G-body construction is a shape fit for the RC scene. The vehicles which are wide-bodied, flat paneled and have a low-roof line always track well down the racetrack. A low front chin, bumper construction and pocketed headlights immediately look like punishment is headed your way. The long and swooping quarter-panels are a staple of this generation vehicle and it certainly cuts like a knife on the drag strip. Fender flares are apparent and appropriately positioned and sized for tires like the #3193 and #3194 Hotties tires.

The cab itself is one of the identifiable features of the GNX and its balanced positioning and sharp lines makes competitors retreat in fear. Rear bumper creation was detailed even allowing position for personalized license plate from the included decal sheet. A small built-in rear spoiler keeps things looking original for those sleepy builds and creations. Included in each body set, a 1987 Buick Grand National decal sheet and the paint mask for all windows. As always, each body set is backed with JConcepts customer support and racing heritage.
