Finally got some rest and able to do a full recap on this weekend. Man what a blast. We hit over 140 entries as AZ reopens amid the Rona. This weekend we featured the 2nd installment of the MOD 5th Scale Championship Series and ended up including some 8th scale as we had racers itching to run. This change ended up creating a really cool event of mixing the two together and giving everyone a chance to mingle and check out how each scale differs and the many similarities. They both tackled this awesome Fear Farm Raceway Track with ease. And with the modified program we were able to run through the 1/8 scale program on Saturday to completion having 2 quals and a main. This was perfect as we had lights compliments of Site Solar and we ran 3 quals of 5th scale and mains on Sunday for 5th (per usual). Each class alternated with quals and the program ran smooth with a few hiccups but also many lessons learned on how to improve for the next time. The weather all weekend was mid 90s which was pleasant for AZ's normal summer weather of 100 plus. We had complete LIVE MOD MEDIA LIVE RC coverage all weekend long recording and streaming each and every event with either the overhead cam or the mobile cam on main events in order to capture all the close racing moments. Special thanks to our camera man Jared Jones for his volunteer help he did awesome. Along with our camera man we had one of the best in the business doing work on the mic, Richard Lake of Hobby Action Raceway. Richard ran a smooth program and comes highly recommended to any and all tracks looking for his RD services (THE BEST). A huge shout out goes to Fear Farm RC raceway owners Randall Morrow and Garver Dirt Works Robert Garver for all their help and tireless efforts with getting this track going, also to all of the volunteers for being on the hoses, and helping with piping and making sure the track was looking great, and that the track was prepped for all the racers. There is a ton of work that goes into a track and a lot of man power that many do not see and many times its a thankless job but we at MOD and I know many racers from this weekend greatly appreciate your efforts as it is not easy. Also couldn't put on a show without all the racers thank you for believing in MOD and coming out to spend your weekend with us, the support was overwhelming and all the kind compliments and how much fun everyone was having made it all worth it.
