Ronnefalk Takes the Win at The Middle Swedish Cup

Yesterday I was back at the track where I ”kickstarted” my career back in 2009 when I won my first Swedish National title being 13 years old!🤩

If I remember well I haven’t been at the track since then as they haven’t hosted any Swedish National event since then. The race yesterday was part of the Middle Swedish Cup and I went to the race while I’m waiting to be able to travel out in Europe and race again!

Weather forecast wasn’t looking good bjt we got a round of practice in the morning before we had to cancel one round of qualifying. Around lunch time the rain stopped and we could get the track in good shape for us to be able to finish the race. We did two qualifiers, semis and final. I did a couple of stupid mistakes on my own in the qualis so qualified 3rd.

Then in the Semi, the start was a mess, tried to make a pass for the lead right in the start but I got the worst out of the situation. Then it was just a mess loosing a lot of time in first 2-3 minutes. I had a plug going bad making the engine very rich, lucky it didn’t blow. Anyway, finished 2nd there and had to start 3rd in the main.

Made a move quickly and with a good plug and proper power delivery together with a fresh set of Pink Megabites on the damp conditions my car was hooked up. Got into the lead before first pit stop and could pull away from there to take the win by a lap and a half in the 30min main💪🏼💪🏼

I got a good throwback feeling with the two guys sharing the podium with me (Pelle Carlsson 2nd and Micke Svensson 3rd) as well as Jonas Bella Eriksson in 5th. They all raced when I grew up racing around Sweden, many great memories👏🏻😊

Nils was quick once again finishing 4th with an unfortunate flame out while running in a comfortable 2nd. You’ll bounce back stronger next time💪🏼

Overall it was a mega stressfull day. Having to completely strip the car apart to clean it after each time on the track as well as marshalling and doing everything else all day myself... I should have had dad with me as I knew the forecast was not looking great🤣

Special thanks to Klas Bredberg for pitting me in the semi and main! And to Klas Runesson for helping myself and Niclas in qualifying!

Thanks to my sponsors for giving me the best possible package to race with😎
